US Television: Vampire Diaries, Episode 2.20 "The Last Day"
Vampire Diaries
Season Two, Episode 2.20, The Last Day
Original Air Date: April 28, 2011
After receiving a phone call from his mother begging him to return, Tyler Lockwood comes home to Mystic Falls unaware of everything that has happened. Elijah reveals his plan to save Elena's life but Damon takes matters into his own hands as he doesn't think the plan will work. Stefan takes Elena on a romantic day out as it could very well be the last day of Elena's life. Damon tries to fix a mistake but pays a dear price for it. Klaus obtains his vampire, his werewolf and the doppleganger for his ritual.
Elijah, Stefan and Elena discuss the events that will be unfolding that night. Elijah confirms to Stefan the Sun & Moon Curse is fake but that Klaus has a very real curse placed upon him and what will happen if he succeeds in breaking that curse. Damon enters the conversation wanting to kill Klaus that day with Bonnie but Elena points out that is not an option as if Bonnie used that much power it would kill her. Elijah explains the ritual Klaus will be performing that night. A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that is contained within the moonstone. Klaus will then sacrifice both a werewolf and a vampire then, in the final part of the ritual, he will drink the blood of the doppleganger to the point of death. Elijah removes an aged bottle from a box and explains it is an elixir he acquired some 500 years ago for Katherine. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation. In theory, Elena will drink the elixir and she will die but will then come back to life. Damon isn't pleased with this plan and feels it will not work. He asks about the Gilbert ring and Elijah explains it only works on humans. Since dopplegangers are a supernatural occurrence the odds is the ring will not work.

US Television: Jimmy Smits' Outlaw Available on DVD, Sort Of
For those of you who remember the extremely short run of this show on NBC and followed the show every week (like I did) you might be surprised to learn that all eight episodes of Outlaw are available on DVD. This was something I wasn't ever expecting to happen and didn't know had happened until I stumbled across the listing on amazon.com a few minutes ago.
You won't be able to find Outlaw at any brick and mortar stores, however. The only place you can get it on DVD is via amazon.com's Manufacture on Demand service. You place your order and all 8 episodes will be burned to DVD-R for you. The price of the series is $19.99 and amazon.com currently lists it as being "in stock" so it is available now.
This was an extremely quiet and unexpected release. While I would prefer the show to have been released through a more formal method I'll take what I can get.

While Jenna and Alaric are uncomfortably telling Elena that what she heard was them (!), Jonas Martin is in Elena's room taking hair from her hair brush and some of her jewelry as well as a photograph. Elena goes back to bed and Jonas Martin slips out of the house without anyone knowing he was there.
After going to see Katherine, Damon and Stefan pay a visit to Elena. The brothers went to see Katherine to ask her for the moonstone. She agreed to give them anything they wanted if they had their witch hocus-pocus her out of the tomb as she's reconsidered staying there where Klaus cannot touch her. They free her and she turns over the stone and disappears from Mystic Falls forever. They can destroy the spell Klaus wants Elena for by releasing it from the moonstone. Their plan is for Bonnie to be able to break the tomb's seal long enough for the Salvatores to get in, get the stone and get out. Elena tells them there is only one problem with their plan: she doesn't want them to do it. She doesn't want Klaus to kill everyone she cares about, including Damon and Stefan.
Season Two, Episode 2.10, The Sacrifice
Original Air Date: December 2, 2010
Damon and Stefan have a plan to get the moonstone from Katherine but Elena wants no part of it. She has her own plans. Elena convinces Rose to take her to see Slater as neither woman knows he is dead. When Elena's plan isn't what Rose thought it was, she calls Damon for help. Jeremy gets in trouble and Stefan makes a sacrifice of his own to save him. Tyler and Caroline make a discovery about the Lockwood Curse that terrifies them both.
Elena awakens to see her bedroom door open. Thinking nothing of it, she rolls over to go back to sleep. We see Jonas Martin looking around a door and a sound startles Elena and she jolts up in bed to look around. She goes out into the hall to check out the house, and as she is getting ready to look into a room with an open door, a shirtless Alaric startles her (startles them both, actually). Cyrus can't give his friend Sherry Lemko proof that Ryan's decisions were for sale but he gives her the name of Fred Shervin who does. She will check it out in exchange for a favor. Mexico is refusing to extradite a man who murdered a kindergarten teacher, Lisa Mejia, in Los Angeles. He needs to go to Mexico and convince them to send the man back to the United States.

Lucinda and Eddie place bets if "Tim" is really her brother as she claims or her lover.

Her father tells them the LAPD found DNA evidence that he was responsible for her death but he was gone when they went to arrest him.
